Welcome to the business community of Frackville, “a town where you can still say,” Hello”, to your neighbor”! (Borough of Frackville). Frackville is fortunate and proud to be the “crossroads” of Schuylkill County. Highways 81, 61, 924 and 54 all lead to Frackville and our many businesses. The Borough was incorporated in 1876 and its population as of the 2000 census was 4361. The Frackville Business and Professional Organization’s members are active in the community and appreciate your business! Please review our list of members and visit as many as you can. We also welcome any new members. Please check our Calendar of Events for out next meeting time and place. We are also members of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce (www.schuylkillchamber.com) as well as the Schuylkill Visitor’s Bureau (www.schuylkill.org).

The FBPA was originally founded in 1953 as the Frackville Business Association. In addition to providing an opportunity for business people to meet and mingle, we promote local businesses through various efforts. Sometimes those efforts also benefit the community as a whole, such as the Christmas and Hanukah lights, which we financially support annually through our Eagles football ticket raffle. We also promote the downtown by organizing a Farmers’ Market during the warmer months. We also award two scholarships to high school seniors in the 17931 zip code. We are especially pleased this year with our annual Pumpkin Festival, which brought young and old community members downtown and to the mall for fall fun! We hope to see you in our businesses, at a meeting or at one of our events!
